A woman’s first day in her new apartment leads to something she never expected in this short film from Miroslav Petkov.
Casey has moved into a new apartment and from the beginning, she begins to not like it. She hears some strange noises and comes across a set of drums left in the bedroom. She becomes convinced that the drums are playing by themselves. When she learns the truth, she is in for a major surprise.
This five-minute short is quite fun to watch as filmmaker Miroslav Petkov made this short that comes off as he makes the most of his budget. The film comes off a bit like a supernatural horror short when it comes to the protagonist Casey, played by a wonderful Simona Rose, trying to figure out what the noise is in her apartment only to think it is the set of drums left in the place.
Briefly after talking to the guy who got her the place, she learns the horrifying truth from her friend Ashley, whose voice we only hear and this is where things go really wild. Rose gives it her all in the lead role of Casey. The final moments are quite shocking and unexpected.
Drums is a short (pun intended) and sweet film that churns out a good lead role for Simona Rose with an unexpected twist.
